With my graph, 1=Holden and 2=ford.

In graphs you need to have a heading and the graph needs to be labled. You also need data.

In our maths class we had to design a garden for Miss Wyatt, our maths teacher.

We couldn’t spend more than $5000 and the garden couldn’t be bigger than 300 m2. And she didn’t want more than 100 m2 of lawn to mow.

Today, our class, and another maths class came in to score our project. They had to leave a comment and score us out of 100, they had names of shapes on the piece of paper to tick, and items we needed in our garden.

I think me and my partner did a good job. I think the scores we got were very good. These are the scores we got were, 66, 75, 71, 91, 80, 81, 90, 68, and 72 out of 100.

The thing in out comments that were said the most were that we didn’t have all the work completed. We had to have our first copy on dotted paper, a glossary, a bigger, coloured design of the garden, spread sheet and costings, how we worked out the area, legend and scale, area of each design, and how much lawn there was to mow. We completed most things, we only missed a couple.

I think we did well.

In maths we did a test on decimals. After we did the test we did work on the questions we did wrong. We worked on decimals for about 2-3 weeks. The first time we did the test i got 5 out of 22. The second time I did the test i got 8.

I think that only going up be 3 isn’t really much of an improvement, I think i could of done a lot better if I studied harder. I completed all the work we needed to do on them but I still didn’t improve by much. For me, some of it was easy to learn, but also alot of it was hard, and comfusing. I think i have learnt a lot more about decimals though.

 I can’t remember what I did in the holidays, I dont think I really did much at all. I got alot of chocolate though, from nearly all of the family.

In first term a couple of people from Sydney who perform acts about cyber safety called Netiguette from Bamboo Theatre came to our school. The acts were about how to be safe on the Internet and about talking to people you don’t know. Bamboo Theatre was created by Rebecca Duff and Emily Beale. I thought the acts were interesting and at the end you could ask them questions if you wanted to.

In maths we do a pre test, then we do work on the things we need practice on and then after that we do the same test again, and work out the class average. The first time I did the test i got 6, the second time I got 16 out of 25. I think I could of done better in the test though.

I think the easiest thing with fractions is adding once you know how to change the denominators so there the same number. I think subtracting and multiplying with fractions would probably be the hardest.

 But I think I have improved guite a lot in maths this year, especially with fractions. At the start of the year I didn’t know much about them at all.

The first time I did the test I thought it was quite hard for me bacause I haven’t done any work on most of the stuff in the test, during the week when we were learning about calculators and lowest common multiples.

Elissa and I worked out some of the harder questions together during the week.

When I did the test for the second time I found it way easier and I did it way quicker, when I did the test the first time it nearly took me the whole lesson but after we did work on it, it took me less than half the lesson. I got 5 more right the secong time.
